ABOUT COMPANY :
AAI manages 137 airports, including 24 international airports (including 3 international civil zones), 10 customs airports (including 4 customs civil zones), 80 national airports and 23 national civil zones on National Defense airport. AAI also provides Air Traffic Management Services (ATMS) across the entire Indian airspace and adjoining ocean areas with ground facilities at all airports and 25 other locations to ensure safety of flight operations.

All major air routes in India are covered by radar (29 radar facilities spread over 11 locations), as well as VOR/DVOR coverage (89 facilities) arranged with distance measuring device (90 bases). 52 ILS-equipped runways with night landing facilities at most of these airports and automatic message relay systems at 15 airports.

AAI's successful deployment of the Automatic Dependent Surveillance System (ADSS), using indigenous technology, at Calcutta and Chennai Air Traffic Control Centers, has helped India become the first country to use the technology This technology is advanced in Southeast Asia, thereby allowing efficient air traffic. Control the seas using satellite communication mode. The use of remotely controlled VHF coverage, along with satellite communications links, has strengthened our ATMS. Linking 80 locations through V-Sat facilities will significantly improve air traffic management and thereby ensure the safety of flight operations, in addition to enabling administrative and operational control over the network. Our huge airport. Performance-based navigation (PBN) procedures have been implemented at Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad airports and are likely to be rolled out gradually at other airports.

AAI has implemented the GAGAN project in technological collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), where the satellite system will be used for navigation. Therefore, the navigation signal received from GPS will be increased to meet the navigation needs of the aircraft. The first phase of the technology demonstration system was successfully completed in February 2008. The development team prepared to upgrade the system during the operational phase.

AAI has also planned to provide Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) to Delhi and Mumbai airports. This GBAS device will be capable of providing aircraft with a Type II (curved approach) landing signal, ultimately replacing the existing instrument landing system required at each end of the runway.

The Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (ASMGCS), installed in Delhi, has upgraded the operations of Runway 28 from CAT-IIIA level to CAT-IIIB level. The CAT-IIIA system allows aircraft to land at visibility up to 200 meters. However, CAT-IIIB will allow safe landings at airports with visibility less than 200 meters but greater than 50 meters.

AAI's efforts, focusing more on "customer expectations", have drawn an enthusiastic response from the independent agency, which has conducted customer satisfaction surveys at 30 stadiums. crowded flight. These surveys allow us to make improvements on aspects suggested by Airport users. Our “Business Reply” boxes at airports have become popular; These responses allow us to understand the desired developments of airport users. In the first year of the millennium, AAI is striving to make its operations transparent and provide instant information to customers by deploying advanced information technologies.

Specific training, focused on improving staff response and enhancing technical skills, was evident. The four training facilities of AAI viz. Civil Aviation Training College (CATC) - Allahabad, National Institute of Aviation Management and Research (NIAmar) - Delhi and Fire Services Training Centers (FTC) in Delhi and Kolkata are expected will be busier than ever.

AAI has also taken initiatives to upgrade training facilities at CATC Allahabad and Hyderabad Airport. A visual airport simulator (AVS) was recently supplied to CATC and a non-radar procedural ATC simulator was supplied to CATC Allahabad and Hyderabad Airport.

AAI has a dedicated Flight Inspection Unit (FIU) and has a fleet of three aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art fully automated flight inspection systems capable of inspection.
