(REPCO BANK) was registered as a cooperative society on November 19, 1969 under the relevant provisions of the Madras Cooperative Societies Act, 1961 and is a member of the State of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Its jurisdiction is the state of Kerala and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Promotion of rehabilitation activities for returnees from neighboring countries, mainly from Sri Lanka and Burma. The bank was initially registered under the Madras Co-operative Societies Act, 1961 but is deemed to have been registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002. The bank is under the control of the Ministry of FFR, Ministry of Interior, Government. of India. Constitutionally, the bank is a multistate cooperative. The bank was promoted by the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with the state governments of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The company's rules and regulations are set out in its articles of association. Based on government recommendations. The Reserve Bank of India has prohibited the use of the word "BANK" by way of notification S.O. under Section 7(1) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Allowed. 626 of January 19, 1972. The Board of Directors of the Bank comprises of senior IAS officers of the Central/State Governments, Directors selected from among the elected representatives and the Managing Director. The currently elected directors will be elected on March 16, 2022 for five-year terms.
